About

Hello and welcome, I am Joanna the proud owner of Josephines.

Over the past few years I have been building my dream, and now I love watching it grow and transform. I never would have thought it possible to be where I am today, it is amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. What started as a mobile hairdressing business has evolved into a mini empire, and I love it!

To all my potential customers, I typically describe my work as an iceberg, at the top you will always see Hairdressing – specifically bridal. This is my bread and butter, although I do offer cuts and colours, bridal hair is my passion, it’s where I excel – being able to create amazing hair up for a bride’s special day. I start and finish work on a high who could ask for a better job?

Then, underneath the hairdressing you will discover lots of other services. “A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step”, and my first step was seeing that some of the designer veils were made cheaply or used a starchy tulle, and I thought I would research into how to make a veil. The next thing I knew an embroidery machine and a sewing machine had been purchased. So I now have a machine that can produce lace for any veil design and a sewing machine to create the veils. But it didn’t stop there…..

Oh no, the more I spoke to people the more the ideas just kept coming:

• Hand made hair accessories

• Embroidered company logos

• Hen night and wedding day morning wear

• Embroidering children’s picture

However, the biggest step forward was embroidering photographs. My partner’s mum suggested creating a photograph of her dad who passed away in which he could then be stitched to the lining of her wedding dress and walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. To me it was a priceless gift to offer and I have seen no other service like it. Gifts can be brought, but this is giving sentiment and emotion that a watch or necklace cannot offer.

I live by an ethos of “under promise and over deliver” and anyone that knows me will agree with me when I say that I don’t stop. My heart and soul is put into my business and everything is personal to me. You are not just a customer, you are valued and cherished for what you bring to my business.

I couldn’t do all of this without you. So thank you and watch this space….

See you soon
